Let Design Do the Heavy Lifting For You
Award-Winning Collaboration
Beyond Design, in collaboration with Mark Kurth ID and engineering partner Design Integrity, is proud to have received a Good Design Award for the Cobotics iLift Intelligent Assist Device (IAD) Product Line.
Intelligent Assist Devices represent the next generation of material handling tools. These systems enable true collaboration between a human operator and a computer-controlled machine, delivering faster, safer, and more precise handling than ever before.
Human-Centered Design and Ergonomics
The iLift was designed with the operator in mind. Material handling environments often involve repetitive motion and physically demanding tasks, which can lead to strain or injury. Our team prioritized ergonomics and intuitive interaction, ensuring the interface between the user and machine feels natural and effortless.
The hub, in-line handle, and pendant grip were engineered to optimize lifting, guiding, and positioning movements in all three axes, while the intuitive user interface allows operators to input and receive data seamlessly, enhancing workflow efficiency. The iLift also offers power-assisted operation, coordinated multi-axis control, customizable user profiles, virtual workspace constraints, and line-tracking capability for improved safety and precision.
Form Meets Function
The iLift’s streamlined design showcases its technological sophistication while communicating rugged reliability and simplicity. The microprocessor is elegantly packaged in a compact hub, delivering state-of-the-art performance without compromising usability or aesthetic appeal.
As a major advancement in ergonomics for lifting and material handling, the Cobotics iLift demonstrates the power of design-driven engineering to solve real-world workplace challenges while improving both operator comfort and productivity. The design also won the Good Design Award for Intelligent Design!
