Chicago Faucets is a leading brand of commercial faucets and fittings, providing innovation and progressive designs for the customer base. They focus on offering a complete range of products, designed to meet any commercial application. When Chicago Faucets came to our team at Beyond Design, their primary objective was to create a line of electronic faucets that were easy to install, easy to operate and easy to maintain, but also have an aesthetically appealing design. EQ marks a new generation of faucets that are combined with advanced electronics, but also that same high quality that Chicago Faucets delivers.

A Timeless Design

Our team’s goal was to create modern and contemporary faucet line that would be a part of the EQ generation line. Its’ sleek designs (3 choices) with two finishes available capture the essence of visual attributes of the faucet, drawing attention to the shape and curve that compliment the sink feature wherever used. The faucets were designed to integrate into any restroom, along with being easy to install in minutes – not hours.

Features and Functionality

The three aspects that Chicago Faucets wanted us to focus on were what they learned from their customers about the next generation of faucets: easy to install, easy to operate and easy to maintain. We provided them with a design that featured a spout that would last and would be tough enough to feature high-quality electrical components. There’s no need for programming, as the faucet learns over time and will adjust to performance levels. EQ has superior user detection, meaning that when the user approaches or leaves, the water will turn on or off for saving purposes.

Focusing on Precision

The EQ generation line of faucets deliver a sleek, simple, modern design. The product itself is relatively lightweight than most faucets, while being extremely easy to install and operate. The smart outlet integrates an electronics module, sensing eye, and aerator for a clean look and dependable operation. Moreover, the low flow outlets combined with smart technology reduces the water usage by as much as 77%. The entire design process was focused on developing a product that as appropriate for multiple audiences that give that clean and aesthetically driven look that Chicago Faucets pride themselves on. The final design captures our client’s brand identity, with the usage of shape, form and overall industrial design.
