This past Friday we celebrated one of our intern’s, Jae Won Chang, last day in the studio. Jae has been a part of our team for almost a year and initially came to Beyond Design from the Art Institute of Chicago to further his knowledge and skills in SolidWorks, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and ideation. He worked on a number of projects over the year and was able to learn a lot about our design process and how products are developed and manufactured.
“I learned about various levels of sketching for different stages, and it was new to me to sketch with a Cintiq. Learning about manufacturability and feasibility also gave me a greater knowledge about general practicality in design as well.”
Jae brought a lot of positive energy to our team and showed excitement and motivation with each project he was involved with. He will be missed!
“Everyone at Beyond was so helpful and willing to teach me. Working in such a creative environment with talented designers was a precious experience, and I am truly honored to be a part of the team.”
