Sustainable Design: Aero Pakmat® receives a Green Good Design Award
We are excited to announce that we recently won a Green Good Design Award for our design of the Aero PakMat®. The Green Good Design, an extension of the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design competition, awards the world’s leading sustainable design. This marks the seventh award the Pakmat® has received over the past year.
The PakMat® is a comfortable, eco-friendly, and compact product ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, as well as for emergency use during disaster relief efforts. There is no need to carry a separate pump or rely on an electrical power source—the PakMat® uses a handheld pump with human energy to inflate the bed. Lightweight and environmentally conscious materials were selected for the air mattress. It is the first air pump that is specifically designed to act as a clean storage unit for the airbed it is designed to inflate. You can learn more about the Pakmat® and its development here.
