Summer Interns at Beyond Design
We are thrilled to have two more summer interns join our team!
Tom Doyle is originally from Baltimore, MD and joined our team from The Ohio State University where he will be entering his senior year in the fall. He grew up always knowing about the design field because his dad is a graphic designer, however, he didn’t learn about industrial design until much later in life.
“I found out about Industrial Design through my interest in architecture and was amazed by the scope and depth of the field. I love to sketch, and I’m really interested in different design process strategies.”
John Seo received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Engineering Design and Innovation (EDI) at Northwestern University.
“Although my educational background is highly technical, I have been pursuing art and illustration as a serious hobbyist for many years. I’ve always wanted to combine my technical background with my passion for art in a meaningful and useful way, so design seems like a natural fit. I don’t have any formal education in design, so I am thrilled with this opportunity to be at Beyond. I have already learned a tremendous amount from the Beyond team and the other interns!”
We look forward to helping them understand and experience design in the real world over the next few months!
