As designers, we love checking out new products and supporting other designers on their product ventures. While students at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Tel Aviv-based designers Nitzan Shafat and Aviv Rozenfeld got a brief to design something to deal with kitchen garbage. We love their idea, and, thanks to Kickstarter, they’re able to bring it to life.
After a few mockups, the pair came up with a concept for a flexible strainer made of silicone. It features a small handle that rises above the surface – to keep your fingers away from the soggy food. TWEAK doesn’t just prevent your kitchen sink from clogging, but it solves the problem of scooping cold leftovers (or food from a dirty plate) out of the sink. Tweak comes in two sizes – one for the kitchen sink and one for the bathroom.
The designers have nearly quadrupled their goal of $14,000. If you want to support the product and get your very own TWEAK, visit their page here.
