Apps are everywhere. More and more, interface designers are attempting to break the norm and make information something that you can really feel and move with your own two hands.
Thumbles by James Patten from Patten Studio is a desktop interface that combines touch screens with robots. Rather than having a button pop up, a tiny robot appears allowing you to grab it and move it anywhere you’d like.
It’s a neat idea. The practicality, however, is lacking. It definitely wouldn’t work on a phone or tablet, but there might be other options for implementing this interface functionality. You can read more on the Thumbles here.
