With a push of a button

Misfit Flash Link

July 17, 2015

Think about it – have you ever wanted to change a song on your phone while working out, or wanting to take that perfect selfie pose with your friends? Well, now you can. With a push of a button on your phone, the Misfit Flash Link allows you to turn your phone into a remote control and lets you do anything you want. In the future, Misfit will let users program even more specific actions, like shooting out an email or tweeting a tweet – all with one button.

Tim Golnik, Misfit’s Vice President of product and design, realizes that users want extra functionality in the world that we live in and it’s true. Interaction that provides instant gratification is what we want to achieve, as consumers. Younger generations, and even older generations want what they want, when they want it. It’s just the world that we have grown accustomed to – whether it’s good or bad.

Consumers are fascinated by pushing a button to make something happen – making it even better when you can tap a touchscreen phone or tablet. As designers, we experience this on a daily basis and of course, we’re connected by all the technology that is available to us. And we always wonder – what is the next and greatest thing to hit the market? Guess we will just have to wait and see. Check out our UI/UX designs here.
