Highlights from Whirlpool’s MIX Event
Last week, some of our designers headed out to Michigan to attend an event at Whirlpool’s Global Design Headquarters. MIX Southwest Michigan attracted over 200 professionals within the area of design from Whirlpool and other companies around the Midwest area. It gives designers and others in this innovative industry a chance to meet, mingle and discuss the power of creativity within this niche community.
We were able to tour Whirlpool’s design studio and see the upcoming trends within home appliances, small appliances and even garage storage. The tour showcased the history of product trends within the past five years and where the vision of the company would like to end up in the future. It also provided some inspiration for our design team and where we can help develop and innovate new ideas for home and small appliances.
We were amazed at the number of people that showed up to support the event and to get to know more people in this industry. It was a great networking opportunity and as you can see, people were chitchatting and get to know each other better.
We want to say thank you to Whirlpool for hosting such a great and fun event and to MIX Southwest Michigan for putting on such a successful night. Our designers had a blast and we cannot wait for the next event – we’re looking forward to it.
