Barriers to Creativity in Education [Infographic from Adobe]

August 13, 2013

In June, Adobe released a research study that reveals the state of creativity in education. It highlights the importance of preparing students to be innovators and how testing and government mandates are stifling creativity in the classroom.

The international study, “Barriers to Creativity in Education: Educators and Parents Grade the System,” shows there is a growing concern that the education system itself is a barrier to developing the creativity that drives innovation.

We cannot say enough how important it is that we educate K-12 students on art and design. These programs can have a profound effect on students learning potential, as creative thinking teaches important problem solving skills that will be used in any profession they choose.
