With the help of Amazon Echo’s virtual assistant, Alexa, consumers who have Capital One can now do their banking by voice – including checking balances, reviewing their purchases/returns, making payments and more.
To use this service, Capital One customers will have to add the skill to their Amazon Echo through the mobile application and then connect it to their account by using their specific username and password. Those who have Fire tablets, iPhones and Android smartphone will be able to access this app.
By using your pre-linked funds to pay your bills, Alexa will pull up the account on file and reply to questions that users might have.
For obvious reasons, this service is something that would happen in the privacy of your own home – not in a shared environment. But, who doesn’t like convenience?
