A Visit from Mexico City Design Students
A few weeks ago we had students from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City visit our studio as part of their Chicago design firm tour. The students were extremely bright and showed great enthusiasm and passion for design. Their visit included a closer look at our work, process, and allowed them to interact with some of our designers. We wanted the students to learn as much as they could from our experiences, accomplishments, and daily challenges.
María, who helped to organize the trip, said, “We think it’s important to take the students where the advances are and where the world is transformed every day. Beyond Design, as an exemplary company in the field placed in different parts of the world, is naturally an interesting company for a future professional designer.”
It was really great to meet everyone and we have appreciated the feedback from a few of the visitors since the trip. “The visit was very helpful for me, not only for the things I learned but because it was a perfect example of a great company and what industrial design really is. It was very inspiring to be there with you,” said one of the students.
Enrique, the Logistics and Project Director, said, “I would like to thank all of you folks for share some of your work and knowledge with us, we can tell you guys are one of the most incredible and organized firms in the world and we really appreciate that you took the time to help us out and received us, we had a great time.”
