A Robot That Can Outrun Humans
I recently saw Boston Dynamics four-legged robot called the Cheetah – and it’s capable of outrunning humans. It can reach speeds of up to 29.3mph, which is slightly faster than Usain Bolt, the fastest man on earth. Cheetah development is funded by DARPA’s Maximum Mobility and Manipulation program. The robot still has some balance issues, but it seems we have less time left until we get chased down by evil metal cats.
