As blogging continues to be on the rise, and the push to stay connected with friends and followers is as high as ever, Sony unveiled the newest edition to handheld video documenting when they announced the Sony Bloggie Live at CES 2012 in Las Vegas.

This minicamcorder enables users to live-stream video to the web while filming, essentially making a live broadcaster out of anyone who wishes. The Bloggie shoots in 1080p HD and simultaneously stores the footage of whatever you are streaming on the device, while you upload to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and/or email. Sony has partnered with Qik, a Skype owned video-sharing service, and a pre-loaded app connects you to your favorite social media sites.

The downside to this pocket-sized, easy-to-use streaming tool is that it is limited to only built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. However, Sony and Verizon have teamed up to encourage users to buy a Verizon 4G LTE Jetpack Mobile Hotspot with the Bloggie in a bundle. Both products can be used together to stream video with a 4G cellular connection.

The Bloggie is a great tool for bloggers and other social media users alike, and the pressure is on to stay as current and up-to-date as possible. For the action sport adrenaline junkies wanting to record their next adventure, the Bloggie Sport HD camera is completely waterproof, dust-proof, and shock-proof, leaving no excuses for capturing and streaming the next great moment.
