A Customizable Concept Car: The Toyota Fun-Vii

November 29, 2011

Toyota recently launched a concept car called the “Fun-Vii”, which stands for Vehicle Interactive Internet. The idea behind the Fun-Vii is to treat cars like a Smartphone with the touch screen display and customizable skins. It gives the user the chance to change the color and design of the body.

While I personally doubt this will be the future of what cars will look like, it’s definitely an interesting approach.

Toyota says this is only something that “might be in the works”, however, the concept shows how one idea has the opportunity to shape the technology of cars in the future.

You can view a video shot by the Associated Press below and read more about the Fun-Vii here.
