Pre Commit to Quit
Last fall the Beyond team worked with our client at Cutback Case to design a time release solution for cigarettes. We’re thrilled with the final project and are excited for Cutback Case to officially launch on the crowdfunding site, Indiegogo, tomorrow!
Developed by entrepreneurs and engineers Joe Wegrzyn, Ricardo Rivero, and Will Kozerski, Cutback Case is the new product developed to aid people in their efforts to quit smoking. The Cutback team came up with this idea for a pre-commitment approach to kicking the habit after several failed “cold turkey” attempts of their own. With Beyond’s help they created a solution to help people that struggle with temptation and willpower just like they did. Read more on their story below:
We’re Joe, Ricardo and Will. Three engineers from Chicago. With Beyond Design’s help we have developed a new product to aid people in their journey to quit smoking: the Cutback Case!
Thinking of quitting smoking or know someone that should? Cutback Case is your first step in cutting back! We’re here to help the world put a end to smoking, one cigarette at a time. The time locked cigarette dispensing case allows access to only 1 cigarette at a time during a pre selected time interval of your choice (30 minute increments). Cutback Case utilizes a pre-commitment approach to kicking the habit. It’s the notion of committing to a smart choice now, when you know you’ll be tempted by a bad choice later. We came up with this idea for a pre-commitment approach to quit smoking after several failed “cold turkey” attempts of our own. We wanted to create a solution to help people that struggled with temptation and willpower just like us.
We’re launching a 40 day crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo starting this Friday (APRIL, 6th 2018). In hopes of raising enough money to start production.
