2015 was a great year to be a consumer. A number of products were released that provided us with innovative designs, smarter software and improved experiences. As designers, this is what we offer our clients to give to their customers. It is a great feeling to have a design that so much effort was put into to be successful in stores.

Below are some of the top picks for best consumer electronics of 2015.


One of the best laptop designs in 2015 came from a company that has never made a laptop before. The Surface Book is first and foremost a laptop PC. Microsoft has the Surface and Surface Pro, but those don’t count because they are tablets with snap-on features.


Mobile phone cameras are exceptional these days – coming a long way from what they used to be. However, the DxO allows you to use a large-lens without taking away the aspect of the mobility of a phone. The portable camera snaps into an iPhone port, instantaneously turning your camera into a high-performance gadget.

The Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang is the best car of 2015. The most brash looking of the series, the 526-horsepower car will speed you down the streets.
