Industrial Design Intern

I felt really lucky to have had the opportunity to work for an extended period of time in the industry because I have learned so much more than I could have exclusively in the classroom. On top of applying the practical skills I was learning in school to real world situations, I also acquired many, less tangible skills that comes from working in a professional environment.
I got to practice hard skills like sketching and Solidworks, and I loved that I got to be really creative with the aesthetic design. The best part of working at Beyond Design was definitely getting to know the full time designers! From my first day, they went out of their way to create a welcoming and a friendly environment where I wasn’t afraid to ask questions, put myself out there, or make mistakes. I really appreciated the support they offered, and I definitely would not have succeeded without their guidance!
