Mert Pekdemir

Design Research Intern

Mert holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and is a current graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in human-centered design (Engineering Design Innovation) at Northwestern University. Before focusing his career on design research and strategy, he embarked upon various engineering design projects. Currently, he focuses on applying the design thinking methodologies to properly understand and address the user needs and desires to create a difference. He joins Beyond Design this summer as the Design Research Intern to further learn and practice human-centered design methodologies.
