Meleena Torres is a Senior at Global Citizenship Experience Lab School. She toured Beyond Design in her Junior year of high school and was excited by the creative process. As an intern, she wanted to learn more about what designers do daily. During her time at Beyond Design, Meleena worked on a project with another student from her school. “I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Beyond Design- the encouraging environment combined with the helpful guidance of Michael Prince helped make my time productive and meaningful. Whenever I needed ideas, Michael proposed different ways of thinking about the topic at hand. This guidance helped me generate more ideas than I ever thought possible. I recommend interning at Beyond Design to anyone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and creating meaningful work.” During her free time, Meleena enjoys playing the piano, drawing, and cooking.
