Carve Your Creativity
Designing for Makerspaces
As makerspaces gained popularity, Inventables introduced a new 3D CNC carving machine for craft enthusiasts called Carvey. To showcase their machine’s potential, Inventables needed open-source content demonstrating its creative capabilities. Beyond Design was brought on as a partner to design and engineer a series of wooden products that could be carved from a single block of material (like wood or plastic) using the Carvey machine.
Fun, Functional, and Open-Source
In the spirit of lightheartedness and imagination, our team designed an eclectic range of products, including toys, board games, and decorative houseware items. The project offered limitless creative possibilities and allowed us to experiment with simple, satisfying makerspace products. We had a blast tinkering with ideas and crafting accessible designs anyone could make.
You can download the open-source files we created for the Carvey machine at Easel.com to explore these creative designs yourself.
