ChargePoint EV Charging Stations and Cloud-Based Software Solutions

We saw a lot of innovative product solutions last week at CES and have mentioned quite a few in our posts over the last week or so. Over the next couple of days, we will be highlighting some products and services in more detail that might be worth checking out.
One company that caught our eye, ChargePoint, plays a big role in the EV industry. ChargePoint is the largest online network of independently owned charging stations operating in more than 14 countries. They manufacture ChargePoint Networked Charging systems for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The system provides EV drivers the ability to search for ChargePoint-enabled charging stations, get directions to charging stations, see if a station is in use or not, check pricing, reserve a station, and receive charging notifications.
The cloud based solution is the world’s first fully open charging services network that supports charging stations from multiple manufacturers and works with all EV’s. This is an extremely valuable system for the many EV owners in the world. To learn more, check out their website here.
